The Summer Collection 2021

Summers in New England are slow and beautiful. These paintings are about a Summer I spent in Vermont sketching wildflowers and peonies against the backdrop of white houses. They are some of my happiest memories, spent looking out my window and watching the bright flecks of light and sway of grasses and flowers. I would walk through a nearby meadow and be completely immersed in dancing shadows.

The deep greens, ballet pinks, lavender and rose against the fresh white and powder blues are what inspired these paintings.

Below are some initial glimpses of the paintings in process and some inspiration images.
